Bartender
Job Description
Responsible to: General Manager
Salary: Depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, permanent position; flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Purpose of role:
As a Bartender you work on a casual basis, where you will primarily behind the bar serving a variety of cocktails and ensuring (with the support of the General Manager) that the bars and the bar rooms are safe and welcoming environments for all visitors.
Job Description
1 Greet customers warmly and serve them promptly and in a friendly manner
2 Ensure that there is always an adequate supply of clean glassware or plastic-ware, clean tables and collect used glasses/plastics from the tables
3Ensure that the customer areas are tidy at all times and are displayed in accordance with the establishment standards
4Follow instructions from the General Manager; report any problems with either a customer or equipment and ensure there is someone behind the bar to serve at all times
5 Ensure the safety of the Looking Glass Cocktail Club’s property and cash at all times
6 Leave the bar area, the bar, the toilets and the main space in a reasonable condition at the end of an event
7Promote the venue’s programme and services, including information about upcoming events, and venue hire.
8Deliver a high standard of customer care by establishing and maintaining good relationships with clients, visiting companies, and all other visitors to the venue.
9 Any other duties the employer may reasonably require
Finance
1 Ensure that the correct money is received and correct change given at all times.
2 Report any errors made immediately to the General Manager
General
1Work actively at all times within all Looking Glass Cocktail Club policies including Customer Care, Access, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and Safeguarding.
2 Attend meetings and training when required
3 Ensure that people under the age of 18 are not served alcohol
Person Specification
Essential
1 Previous experience in cocktail making (at least 2 years in a London based venue/s) and excellent knowledge on the bar scene including classic cocktails, spirits & bitters
2 Excellent understanding of how a working bar operates
3 Excellent customers care skills and the ability to communicate efficiently and handle sensitive situations.
4 Ability to keep calm under pressure and to prioritise work
5 Honest and reliable
6 Arrive punctually for your shift
7 Ability to work as part of a team
8 Positive and friendly manner
9 Willingness to work flexible shift patterns and unsocial hours
10 A knowledge of and commitment to the principles of Equal Opportunities and an understanding of the issues relating to cultural diversity within an organisation

Waitress / Floor Assistant
Job Description

Contract: Part-time, permanent position; Fridays and Saturdays 7PM - 2AM only
Purpose of the role:
As a Waitress you will work on a casual basis, where you will be primarily taking customer's orders and serving a variety of cocktails in a timely manner, ensuring (with the support of the General Manager) that the bars and the bar rooms are safe and welcoming environments for all visitors.
Job Description
1 Greet customers warmly, direct them to their reserved area and serve them promptly and in a friendly manner
2 Ensure that all orders are taken on time and drinks are delivered to the tables as soon as possible
3 Ensure that the customer areas are tidy at all times and are displayed in accordance with the establishment standards
4 Follow instructions from the General Manager; report any problems with either a customer or equipment
5 Process cash payments, set up bar tabs and ensure the safety of the Looking Glass Cocktail Club’s property and cash at all times
6 Leave the tables and the main space in a reasonable condition at the end of an event
